Why has my Gmail and YouTube account been disabled?

Today I tried to open my Gmail account with no success, it said "your account has been disabled temporarily". I haven't done anything illegal, it was my Work mail it has all my info in it. Consequently, because Gmail accounts and YouTube accounts are connected to each other, my YouTube account has been disabled too. At least can you tell me how much time does it take to recover my accounts back? or how can I somehow get the information from them and place it into another account (if that makes any sense). Please, my job relies on this, I'll never trust Google again...
