Basjoo banana tree question?

what type of root system do they have? I had thought about planting a couple behind my house about 2-3 feet from the house. I have a concrete slab foundation. Now I know that most woody trees have tough roots that could potentially tear up a concrete slab if they grow into it. Can basjoo banana roots do this or are they softer and would the roots work their way elsewhere? Thanks
