Phonecall from Eastern et Management....?

I received a phone call from a Mr. Porter saying he works for Eastern et Management and they are calling to discuss a case involving me. Now I know what they are talking about, I had a CC when I was younger, 18, and I got into some financial trouble and never paid it off. By the time I was old enough and mature enough to realize I better pay this off Clout Visa closed and I lost any information I had on paying off that debt. Now this company is claiming to be collecting on this debt, but I have read a lot of bad things about this company and am not sure what I should do. I have read they have no place to collect the debt and I should request information in writing to be sure it is true. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?
