What are my future prospects if I study Linguistics or Speech Therapy?

my younger son sees a speech therapist at least once if not twice a week for about 20 min each. he is in his second year of kindergarten, oh my gosh the improvement in his communication from oct 05 to this year!!! WOW this year he still needs help but more people especially other kids can now understand him. last year there were fights because he got frustrated he could not say things he needed to. this yr big change!! it takes patience to work with children in general and its very rewarding when you see how well they do and it builds up their confidence and self esteem. give kids a chance you'll find they soak up everything like a sponge.
