When I went on the pill my s didn't get any bigger, but my periods got much more manageable. I recently downloaded several new codecs and player such as VobSub, Divx, VLC, FFdshow and AC3filter. Now my windows media player and my veoh player won't play some avis and wmvs. I got Divx player to play them but I can't see encoded subtitiles so I got VLC player because someone told me it worked better. It, like Divx, will play the file but I can't see the subtitles. I had a free trial of Easy video splitter and it worked with that but it was only a 7 day free trial and when I went to order it the link was broken or they don't offer it anymore or something. Is there anything I can do setting wise besides "show default subtitles" that will allow me to see them? Could there be a false codec or a conflict preventing me from seeing them?

Why won't my MP3 player play a certain band's music?

so, I have a windows media player that says, MP3/WMA/REC/FM on it. This is similar to an ipod, but takes a AAA battery and has a USB port on it that is also a flash drive. All music that I have ripped onto my computer I simply transfer to this MP3 player like you would a flash drive and it plays music. When I try to load a 2 albums from WEEZER and it won't play their songs and the digital readout just says "unknown format". I have tried burning their music to a CD and then ripping it back to my computer and then transferring onto the MP3 player and still no such luck. The files that work and the files that don't work are both WMA.

Okay well, I was just getting over a cold when I went to my dads house for part of Christmas break 2 weeks ago. My dad AND my stepmom both are pretty heavy smokers...I think...at least a pack a day for both of them. When I woke up on the 2nd day being at my dads, my throat was really sore...so we went and bought cough drops. Whenever my stepmom or dad would smoke, it would get hard for me to breathe and I would start coughing. I would have to go out side or in another room with the door shut and open window. I had the sore throat from December 20-26ish, then it turned into a nasty cough. I got to my dads house on the 19th, developed the sore throat on the 20th, and went back to my moms house(who doesnt smoke) on the 24th. I still have the cough today, and occasionally it will be a sore throat also. Could the smoke have caused this? Cause I was feeling fine before I got to my dads house, sure I was getting over a cold, but the last day I ever blew my nose was like 2 days before I went to my dads, and I had no signs of a cold when I arrived at my dads.

Late period from traveling?

So I have kind of a complicated question. I've been on birth control for a little over a year now. Every month I get my period on the exact same day at the same time. I can predict it like clockwork. Well the past 2 months or so I've been forgetting multiple times to take it and have been having unprotected with my boyfriend. Well I expected my period last night because that's when it always happens. It's been a full day and still no show. This has never happened in over a year. However, I'm on vacation right now and flew down about a week ago. I was just wondering if the traveling has anything to do with the delay? First off: A few months ago I was living in a fraternity house. Somebody wrote down a friends debit card number and ordered 77 dollars worth of food on it. Well that person used my name for it to be delivered to. A cop came and talked to me and asked me questions and basically said: If charges are going to be pressed, a warrant will be out for your arrest. I never admitted to it, or wrote down a confession or anything. I never heard anything about it after that day. Later, my room mate wrote me a check when he was really, really drunk. It was for 200 dollars. So I cashed it the next day. Soon after, he noticed that I cashed a check of his, and he doesn't remember writing it. So we got into it and I moved out. He called the police. I never got questioned or anything, but 6 months later, a detective calls me and says that he's submitting a warrant. I just got a job interview and hired, but they have to do a background check. Can they submit warrants without confessions? What do I do???

I'm 15 years old and i have a sister who is 14 and my parents got divorced when i was in 1st grade. My dad married my stepmom and now they have three kids, i love them so much don't get me wrong. But i cannot stand my stepmom, she is 16 yrs younger than my dad and so she is VERY immature, she only is civil to us because of my dad. My dad's family is muslim and my mom is catholic so they have different cultures you know, my stepmom is muslim too and she is young which causes her to be very jealous and immature. Was this Saturn? still trying to learn how to properly read star charts?

So I went out for night of stargazing with the hopes of finding some good markers like Ursa Major, Leo, Draco and Polaris. It was my hopes that by finding them and locating Venus that I would be able to find Saturn. the seeing wasn't very good as the sky was mottled with clouds and it got cold super fast so I couldn't stay out past 21:45 when it really would get dark. Hopefully if I describe what I sketched you might be able to tell me if I was on the right track. I found Venus and it was west about 40 degrees up in the sky and following ones finger towards the left about 30 degrees was a star and then going upward at a slight leftward angle for about 45 degrees was a yellowish non twinkling light. I took a photo of it and it was spheroid like venus but a little bit more oblong but couldn't get much detail because I was only using my 8mp camera on tripod with 150mm lens. It wasn't dark enough to see where it fell in rel to the constellations but do you think it was Saturn?

She does have pretty hair. I am sure a lot of work went into it before that photo shoot though. I think if your hair is naturally wavy, you should just use a curling iron (med size) on the bottom half and spritz with flexible hold hairspray after you unravel the curl. Let your hair cool and then flip your head over and gently separate curs; flip your hair back and then lightly spray curls again when you're done. Hope this helps!

i would like to be able to accept more student loans for my college tuition. Only problem is my fasfa report says i am only eligible for 800 dollars because my parents make to much money. However, my parents do not pay for my school, book, board, etc. How do a take out more stafford-subsidized loans when the govenment only allows me to take out 800 dollars. The diverter valve is not shutting off the water flow to the spout. This could be a washer problem or a washerless valve problem - like o-rings. Remove the diverter valve and take it to a hardware or plumbing store and get the correct repair parts for it. You shouldn't need a plumber for this repair, but if you are totally lost as to what to do a handyman or plumber could fix this problem for you.

How do I become more regular?

I only poop every 1-2 days. I eat alot of food, but I don't past the food until it's all been reduced to dry, very compact stools. I know the ideal stool is moist, and comes frequently. I literally eat 2 cups of cooked oatmeal every morning, I munch on the odd raw vegetable, and I eat ALOT (I mean like 2-3 pounds) of potatoes every day, as well as a lot of meat. I excercise alot, but I have been slowing down and I feel it is linked to how few bowel movements I have. I have tried Metamucil, but it literally just sat in my gut like anything else. I just felt like I had over eaten, and it took just as long or longer to use the washroom (I took the whole thing.) Someone told me that I needed to drink more water, so I have been drinking like 12 gles a day. Nothing is working and I think it is really starting to effect my energy levels. Please, any ideas will be helpful.

Is parvovirus less severe if there is no blood in the vomit or stool?

I have a 16 week old french mastiff pup, that has the parvovirus. We took him in to the vet on Thursday and she put him on IV that day. He still gets up sometimes when we visit him, and it is already Sunday. However he seems very depressed. There has never been any blood in his vomit or stool, does this mean that his case of parvovirus is less severe? He only eats when forced, has not thrown up in over a day, and approaches his food and water as if he is thinking about it, but only to turn away. Why is this concert/music dvd not working?

Ok, so on my dad's dvd player I have noticed that it does not like to play concert/music dvds very easily. When I popped in a dvd of concert footage, the video is very jerky, meaning it skips every second so you can abrely tell what is happening, plus the audio does not come through on it. On a dvd I previously had that had the same problem I fixed it by going to an audio options on the dvd's main menu and changed it either from dolby digital to pcm or vice versa, however there is no placed to change the audio type on this dvd, just fyi, the dvd not working is called AC/DC plug me in and I don't know if this will help, but my dad's DVD player is pretty old.

My partner and I are trying to conceive our first child. We have two dogs that are pretty much our children, they are very spoilt & are inside dogs most of the time. I almost got in a car accident today and its playing with my mind. i was driving home from school and kind of zoning out. i got to a 4-way intersection and needed to make a left so i got into the left turn lane. i started to turn but then realized i didnt have a green arrow, it was just a green light. so i completely forgot to yield to oncoming traffic and before i knew it i was in the middle of the intersection, with cars coming at me at 50-60 mph. at this point my heart stopped and i saw two cars swerve around me and honk really loud. i ged it into my appropiate lane but then i was covered in cold sweat and shaking. that was the closest i'd ever come to death and it happened strikingly fast. at first i was just like "holy sh*t, i almost just died" but then i started to feel bad for the people i almost killed. like what could have happened if those cars didnt dodge me. they could be dead, i could be dead, we could both be dead or severly injured. im just really shaken right now. i didnt tell my parents because i didnt want to scare them, but i seriously dont ever feel like driving again. i feel bad that i screwed but like that. im typically a safe driver but i was so damn tired...anyway, does anyone have any helpful advice?

my younger son sees a speech therapist at least once if not twice a week for about 20 min each. he is in his second year of kindergarten, oh my gosh the improvement in his communication from oct 05 to this year!!! Feeling really depressed about being on bedrest....?

I was diagnosed today with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension. My blood pressure sky rocketed wednesday, and I swelled up like the goodyear blimp. I was in the hospital for 2 days. My doctor put me on medication and modified bedrest. I feel really guilty and depressed about it. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I feel like I am being weak or a baby or something. I have always been dependable. I generally push myself and work long hours so I can do my best. I am a teacher at an urban school that has alot of issues. We had a fight break out in first hour on wednesday over gang crap. I love my students it's just a VERY stressful environment. I do not have paid maternity leave, and I only get 6 weeks. I am taking 2-3 extra weeks prior to the birth for bedrest. I know that financially we will get through this. It is just really scary. I feel like I should tough it out. I bounce back and forth. Any words of encouragement or advice for those who are going or been through a similar situation?

A Question About Dog Nails?

Okay so i was taking my puppy for a walk two days ago and we were crossing the streat in the cross walk when two cars sped around the corner. I had no time to pick my puppy up so we just took off running trying to get out of there way but they turned on there brights and it scared the crap out of my puppy. he floped to the floor and clung his nails in the ground. There was no way i could pick him up in time or we both would of got hit by the car. So I pulled really hard on his leash and drug him to me. When he got close enough i grabbed him and we fell onto the sidewalk. I got some scraps but the bottom of his paws got hurt. His pads got kind of like a bad rug burn on them. I cleaned and disinfected them pretty good. I stoped the bleeding but it looked like one got burned pretty bad. I wd it up but he just tore the gauze off. It wasnt bleeding so i didn't put the gauze back on. I've been cleaning and disinfecting the burns since then but today i noticed blood on my arm when i was holding him. It looks like he has been licking the paw that got really bad rug burn so much that the skin is raw and a little of it has come off and now it looks like the nail is coming out. My question is if his nail fully comes out how long will it take for it to grow back?

ABD Pads in a First Aid Kit?

I have an advanced Level 1 First Aid Kit (if I added a Sphignomanometer(sp?) and a stethoscope, it would be level 2) and I was jsut wondering, how many ABD Pads should I put in it because it is home made and I currently have Topper Sponges (4). Also, if I put in a certain amount of ABD pads in the kit, could i get by with 2 or 3 toppers? IS an ABD Pad a Trauma DRessing? Do I need a trauma dressing? Sorry for all the questions! :)
